Very professional and nice people to stay with. There were quite strong storms just weeks before my arrival. As a result, some rooms suffered water damage and the hotel wasn’t able to host me. They rearranged absolutely everything for me and relocated me in another accommodation of my convenience. They also invited me for dinner one night as a way to apologise for not being able to host me in the end. They were very nice and I hope I get to stay with them next time I visit Fuvahmulah :). .

Sunrise Location 2 min walk from the Beach. Equator Retreat Hotel is in a fantastic location just a 2 minute walk to the shore where you can catch stunning sunrises every morning. The room was decent, with a nice firm mattress that made for a good night’s sleep. Overall, a simple and relaxing stay in a beautiful spot.. The staff didn’t speak much English, but they were always friendly and tried their best to help. Breakfast could definitely use more variety, especially for anyone with dietary restrictions being dairy-free was a bit tricky. One odd thing was the common area right outside the room, but luckily the place wasn’t busy, so it stayed quiet and peaceful the whole time.

Nice new well equipped hotel near to the harbour. Everything is new in the the property. Dominated by white and grey colour. Very clean. Close to the harbour if want to walk there for diving. Shops nearby where credit card are accepted. Well equipped kitchen. YouTube on TV in my room.. For the beach you need to walk a bit, however the island nicest beach Thoondu is still in a reasonably distance where you have a nice restaurant with reasonable prices. The restaurant doesn’t accept credit card but you can ask your hotel to transfer them the money and pay it back on your check out. I have tried snorkelling near to the hotel but the currents and waves can be unpredictable..
