upsetting experience. During my recent stay at a beautiful resort, I was initially impressed by the stunning environment, friendly staff, and delicious meals they served. However, my experience quickly soured due to the actions of the housekeeping staff. They frequently knocked on my door, waking me up and insisting I leave so they could "clean," which mainly involved making the beds and taking out the trash. Despite my repeated requests for them to keep the door closed while cleaning to prevent mosquitoes from entering, they consistently left it wide open. One day, I returned to my room to find the door ajar, and I realized that my cash had gone missing. I had taken precautions to hide it deep in my luggage after noticing a worker observing where I kept it, but it was clear that someone had taken it while I was away. The aftermath of this situation was incredibly frustrating. Instead of a thorough cleaning, I returned to find only a made bed, empty trash, and an empty wallet, alongside a many mosquitoes that had invaded my space due to them. My friend and I suffered through a night filled with mosquito bites, even with bug spray applied, which left us feeling sick and going to the local hospital to find treatments. Additionally, the discomfort of the beds was unbearable; two out of the three beds had only spring mattresses, causing immense back pain. When I requested a memory foam mattress, I was told that the rooms were full and nothing could be done, which was baffling considering that only one of the three beds had a memory foam option. The staff communicated fluently in English when they wanted us to leave, yet when I confronted them about my missing cash, they suddenly struggled to understand. Ultimately, the combination of discomfort, theft, and poor communication turned what should have been a relaxing getaway into a distressing experience.. .

Paradise on a Long Island. I have to say I was sceptical that we choose 4*. In my opinion it was clearly 4*+. We were delighted by the hotel and most importantly restaurant. Service (Thuwan and sorry I dont know the name of the girl) in restaurant was very professional. Hand behind the back and very polite behavior. Love it! And the kitchen did very good job in cooking and I wanted to take him home :) . Next thing, manager of the hotel Shaheen is very good person and dealt with a small issue we had with speedboat and tried to fix it himself (he was not obligated to do that). He was also very well informed and very educated, so it was very easy to speak with him about anything and he also made time for us for a small talk. Yoosuf is very good young man with very good personality and he is a very good trip guy there. He knows everything literally and if he does not, he will find it as soon and possible and learn it. The only thing I have to say are mosquitos (not the issue of hotel) and the electricity. It has some weird behaviour, but not a deal breaker. Rooms are very clean although I would change toilets and showers. This is why I put 4*. This can be done easily and I think they will get it done very soon :) If I could I would go there again since this hotel and island is a paradise and I got in love with this place :). .

Not a 4 stars at all. We didn't like much the hotel as all. Clearly is not a 4 stars hotel. The reception was empty most of time when we needed. The bed was a bit tough as well. But Irufaan is a nice and honest person. He is also more prepared to deal with tourist then some colleagues. Some of then were a bit inpatient of not prepared to solve simple issues. The cleaning guy is a good person too. I want to do an honor mention to Thuwan. THIS employee deserves to be recognized and evolve in his career. He has sympathy, is smart, has good energy and made us feel really welcome there. He is 5 stars!. .

. The food is good. But its not clean, has cockroach. Smell awfull. You have to say to change towels and sheets. Otherwise they wont change it. Towels smell bad. Water you have to buy. Overall not recommended. Staff is nice and polite.. .

Great experience in Dhigurah - Sands Grand hotel. We spent seven nights at this hotel, from the moment we arrived, we were greeted with genuine friendliness and kindness that set the tone for our stay. We were two couples and both the rooms were spacious, clean, and well-maintained throughout our visit. Fresh towels, including beach towels, were always readily available. The food was consistently nice, thanks to the talented chef and the kind waiter that always tried to fulfill our needs. Each meal was a delightful, served with care and professionalism by the attentive staff. Special thanks to the wonderful waiter, who always delivered service with a smile and kind words, making every meal feel special. One night he also prepared a special dinner for us with fresh grilled fish. The staff went above and beyond to ensure our time was filled with meaningful experiences, offering excellent advice on what to see and do in the area. Nothing seemed to ruffle their calm demeanor—they were always ready to help with anything and everything, making us feel like family. The people, the service, and the attention to detail made it an experience I will cherish forever.. .

Our most beautiful holiday with the nicest people whe have ever met.. We stayed in this hotel for 8 nights. The welcome was nice and friendly. The room was spacious and clean, regularly cleaned, with towels and beach towels. The room was equipped with a hairdryer, a refrigerator, and an electric kettle, which is quite enough for an ordinary day. The food was delicious every day (thanks to the skilled chef), brought to the table in a really pleasant, cultured way, always with a smile and kind words (thanks to the wonderful waiter). They tried to fill the time according to our requirements, but they gave very good advice on what is worth seeing and experiencing. What was extraordinary,was the attitude and behavior towards us. I have never seen such kind, warm-hearted, peaceful people as here. Nothing upset them, they would give you everything, they were helpful as much as possible. And not only some of them, but absolutely all of them! Starting with the manager, through the cooks, waiters, cleaners, all the employees... the absolute highlight was my birthday, where they surprised me with a beautifully decorated room and an even higher level was the dinner! They baked me a cake with with candles, sang, congratulated (again, everyone), arranged the table such unbelievably way, cooked a fantastic meal (as can be seen on photos). Saying goodbye was hard and tearful for me, because these were really the most wonderful holidays in my life. .

FANTASTIC. FANTASTIC! It's hard to put into words. it was really amazing and unforgettable. the hotel is very good, and the staff is excellent. I would like to praise the waiter Thuan, an outstanding man. Also te island is perfect. Is a must visit and we will come back for sure.. .

. This is a very nice place for the area. Staff way very helpful, and arranged or incoming and out going transfers, also the dives. But a must was the scooter to drive to the sandbar, trust me it can be walked but u will not enjoy it was much vs taking the very inexpensive scooter the hotel can arrange . .

Home away from home 🩵. My trip to Dhigurah Island has been my best and favorite journey so far. We spent 12 nights at the Sands Grand Hotel, and there wasn't a single thing we didn't like. Cleanliness was top-notch, with fresh towels every day (including beach towels, so no need to bring your own), a comfortable bed in a spacious room, a large bathroom with a roomy shower, and a walk-in closet. The room was also equipped with a TV, a kettle, a safe, and a small fridge—everything you need for a pleasant stay. We had breakfast and dinner included, and we were more than impressed with the food (kudos to the chef!!). Every dish was to our liking. That's a brief overview of the accommodation. But if you ask me on a deeper level, I'd describe Sands Grand Hotel as a home away from home. The atmosphere was so cozy that we didn't want to leave. Whenever we needed something, they took care of it without any issues. The staff was friendly and full of energy. Special thanks to Shaheen, Irufan, and of course, everyone else, for making our days on Dhigurah even more special. Your warmth has touched my heart deeply. We truly felt at home, and I'm looking forward to our next reunion. Ingrid & Matic. .
